Wow here do I start with this guitar? I bought it a couple of days ago and I have not put it down since. As its my first maple fingerboard guitar, I find the beauty of it just absolutely stunning (I have the brown sunburst). This guitar is great and works with any type of music, but very rarely with metal. It's a great guitar to add to your collection but I would suggest changing the stock pickups because they hum very loudly! Well that is unless you like them like that. Great guitar BUY IT!

  • WOW

As reviewed by Jim on 8/28/2009

I have always been a Gibson guy and have absolutely loved every minute playing my 78 Les Paul Custom I bought new. I have always wanted a Fender with a maple neck. I bought this last month and have mostly used it with a Fender Frontman 15 watt practice amp. I am very impressed with the workmanship and quality. Two weeks ago I got to play with my band using my friends 50 Marshall double stack and that is when I truly appreciated this guitar. Everyone was like WOW that sounds great. WOW is right. Thanks Guitar Center for selling me a great axe I will use for years to come.

  • bad for metal? nahh

As reviewed by bert on 4/9/2010

so iv been reading all these reviews that say this guitar sucks for metal. this is definatly not true. its all how you have your action setup up and how you set ur amp. it also has to do with your strings. me and my friends always play in dropped d and c on this guitar and it sounds fine you get the nice chunk but at the same time you can get beautiful leads out of it. its all about your setup.
