  • Plays Good & Looks Great Too

As reviewed by D Jay W on 8/5/2011

First, I love Fender Guitars and have a couple of them worth over $1,500. For me, there is nothing like listening and playing a Fender Guitar. Of course, not all Fenders are created equal. On looks alone, this Fender stands out. But a red flag arose when I saw it was made in Mexico. At one time, those Fenders were made from cheaper woods and the electronics were certainly inferior. It just didn't feel like and sound like the Fender Strats I had and made me appreicate the ones I owned. I gave this one a try and glad I did. This Strat felt as comfortable as any Fender I have owned. And the sound is brighter than an American made Strat. But there are times when playing the blues I want that bright sound. And the low price of this Fender blew me away (besides receiving a $100 GC gift certificate). I never thought that I would ever purchase a Fender made in Mexico. I give it a 4 star rating becuase I am comparing it to other Fenders. However, when compared to other Fender Strats, and if this brighter tone does not bother you, it is a great value.

  • Great Guitar for the price

As reviewed by Tom on 6/1/2011

I have a Les Paul and was looking for something to give me a little brighter sound when playing some country licks and some of that Stevie Ray stuff. This is a great guitar. The neck is smooth and has a good shape. The humbuckers are a little bright but can be controlled by adjusting bass and treble on your amp. The neck and middle pickups are perfect for what I was looking for. No noise at all from pickups. I left my amp on and guitar plugged in and no humming at all. I play clean but when you turn on the overdrive that thing will sustain forever. Over all great guitar for the price tag. If you buy an American made strat your paying a lot for the name. Oh! and this guitar looks great.

  • I LOVE THIS GUITAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As reviewed by matt on 1/7/2011

I bought this thing and aside from being one of the most beautiful looking guitars I have ever seen, it has an amazing sound and is very easy to play, I can't tell much difference between this guitar and an american standard in terms of playability, just a great purchase for any guitarist.
