A-MAZING
This guitar is great I have the 3 tone sunburst with the maple neck and let me tell it feels awesome! When I play the neck feels so smooth and it's easy to switch between pick-ups and such. I play all kinds of music, My band plays heavy metal/thrash, and at school I play Jazz and Blues but I also love classic and hard rock, and this guitar is perfect for any of these. Plus if you turn up the volume all the way up on Bridge pick-up it gives you cool distortion!! It's also light and the whammy bar is great for playing Iron Maiden and Van Halen type stuff. I wouldn't change anything about this guitar it is A-MAZING!!!!!!!

Great all around guitar!
I have this guitar as a christmas present. The neck is so much smoother than the other strats i've played. It sounds great for anything from jazz to metal, it is a great upgrade from a squier. I Would recommend to use different strings like ernie balls super slinkys instaed of the fender strings. This guitar is great for no matter what style you play!

This is Great Guitar!
Well, I had been playing guitar for a couple years, and i knew it was time to upgrade from my Epiphone Les Paul that I got as my first guitar.
I picked it up at the store, and the sales reps where really helpful. At first, playing it in the store, it felt a little awkward because it really feels different from a Les Paul. But I decided to get it. I picked a Lake Placid Blue HSS one with a maple neck, and everyone keeps telling me how great it looks. It's a really pretty looking guitar once you see it in real life.
Once you get a chance to play it a lot, it really starts to grow on you. Everytime I play it, live or in my bedroom, I like it more.
If you are concidering this as an intermediate player i would definitely recommend it. It feels good, and it sounds great through all the pickups. But get a hardshell case, the gig bag wont give you enough protection for this.

what a work horse
I play this guitar at every show. It has never let me down! Action is great! everything about this guitar is slick.. I've had MIA strats and the only difference I can see is the one fret. and the bridge. the bridge on the mim is slightly different but overall my mim strat plays just as good if not better than any strat I've played.
no lie

An Amazing Guitar
Picked up this guitar today. White with a maple fretboard. It is lightweight, the neck is just so comfortable playing. The fit and finish are excellent! Whether playing through my Marshall Half Stack, or my Line 6 spider amp, the sound is just amazing. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a first guitar, or a backup guitar. For the money, you can't go wrong! This one sits beside my Fender Deluxe Players Strat guitar.I am a big fan of Fender and will, in the future, add too my arsenal! Fender Rocks!

Very, very pleased!
As a father on a budget, I wanted to promote my son's playing, but couldn't pop for the US-made Strat right now. He's an intermediate player and is starting to gain discerning taste when it comes to his guitars. He has 4 other guitars that I fear are going to collect dust as the sound the Strat produces is nothing less than stunning. This guitar is like a chameleon; regardless of the style you play, it can be as warm or crisp as you need it to be. The action is great and the look is classic. Rock hard, son!

The Standard Strat is a Great Buy
I purchased the Fender made in Mexico (MIM) Strat 5-months ago as a beginners guitar for my mid life crisis (I hadn’t played in 35-years). I had compared it to the Epiphone Standard Les Paul and felt the Fender was much smoother and easier to play for a beginner. The body wants to hug you with its proper curvature and the neck is extremely fast and easy to maneuver. The factory had set up the truss rod, bridge and pick-ups perfectly. Though everything was fine I decided to replace the pick-ups with Fenders Samarium Cobalt pick-ups to get that Fender Custom sound. It was like a steroid shot to my Strat. The sound was fine before but this gave it even warmer tones and crisper highs. The more I play it the better it sounds and the easier it plays. It has a bluesy tone so be careful of string selection if you play rock. Oh and I did end up buying the Epiphone Les Paul 1-month ago for the hard rock tone. The Strat still plays much easier and sounds better plus I had to set up the Les Paul’s rod, bridge and of course the pick-ups. If your just starting out or are a novice and don’t have the money for the American Strat, buy the MIM Strat, you wont regret it.

The real deal.
This is the real deal Fender Stratocaster. The Squier line is nice for the money, and makes a great beginner electric guitar. But once you step up to the Standard Fender line, you do feel and hear the difference. The extra money for the American made line was not worth it to me. The quality of this guitar is excellent and it plays and feels great. I use Ernie Ball Regular Slinky strings on mine for excellent sound and accurate intonation. This is the Strat to get!

Viva Le' Mexico!
Mine is a 2006 Sunburst model which does have all the upgrades which did come out that year, the thicker trem block, jumbo frets, and the shielded compartments to reduce feedback and pickup hum. I have owned this guitar now for close to 3 years and to say that it is my favorite, is quite simply, a understatement! I have used this at several shows and have gotten many compliments on it's looks and the tone that comes out of it. IMO,ever since Fender introduced the upgrades, the MIM standards are on par with the MIA models. Of course I did do a few cosmetic mods to mine such as changing the pickguard to a White Pearloid and adding some Graphite Bridge saddles and locking tuners, but other than that, I have kept the pups stock because to me, they sound just fine. I own 2 Epiphone electrics and this guitar is in a league of it's own compared to them. Do yourself a favor and get one of these, you won't regret it!

Sweet guitar!!!
I just got this guitar this week and it blew my expectations out of the water. This guitar has such a nice crisp tone and perfect action. Along with delicious sound quality you get the prestige of owning a fender at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend that you buy this guitar.
