  • Great Bass!

As reviewed by Rich on 4/22/2010

I have a collection of many other basses- most are high end but this Fender plays and sounds great! For the price of this bass you get the Fender growl, and the craftsmanship is great. Does not go out-of-tune, and has nice fretboard action. My only comment is that the volume and tone pots could have been a bit better, I think they will probably wear out first, but hey, easy enuff to replace! All in all high marks for this bass, definitely consider one for your "toolbox"!

  • A real bass!

As reviewed by Oscar on 2/7/2011

This is a real bass and i feel like its not a begginer's kind. I started playing with some of the cheap ibanez and a washburn, all under $200, but once I picked this one up I felt like I was wasting my time and from that moment on I became a bass player who actually enjoys playing. This bass is really well made it has quality and great sound, the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because sometimes I feel like its not loud enough compared to the american made ones, but the tone and the feeling is actually about the same compared to those americans. If you want to upgrade from cheap to a real bass but you are in a tight budget, this is the one.

  • Great

As reviewed by bassman19 on 2/5/2011

This bass is extremely well built. Don't let anyone fool you, mexican standard instruments are extremely good, they sound very similar to their american cousins. I haven't gotten around buying this bass yet but I know its a good choice. This instrument is most appropriate for rock/punk/pop genres more then anything. But funk and jazz don't sound that bad on this bass either. Looks great in a white finish and black pickguard for sure. All around great tone that every bass player needs.
