It was the first Fender bass and it's still #1!
The Fender Precision Bass, featuring an alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard. The low price makes it especially attractive.
Got a wicked deal on this bass. Ended up picking it up on clearance for $299, with a $60 gig bag thrown in for free. I own a 1975 Rickenbacker that is undergoing a major refurbishing. I was looking for a steady bass to rock in the mean time without breaking the bank. I plugged into my rig and hardly missed a beat with this thing. This bass is incredibly playable. At a regular price of $424 I would say that this bass easily holds its own against many double the price. The tone is great, the action is great, and it looks great!

I've owned my Fender Standard Precision Bass for about one year and am still impressed. It has a great sound and has almost no problems. This is a great instrument for anyone who wants a good bass for not much money.

To begin with there are only two basses that matter...a Fender Precision or a Fender Precision. This is an excellant example of a MIM P bass. Mine plays smooth and the intonation was right on straight from the box. Only crit. was that the tone knob was loose but that is an easy fix. I picked up the Arctic white along with an Ampeg B2-RE w/6x10HLF classic. Just truely a beautiful sounding rig. At this this price point you can't loose. Going to stop writing now so I can play. Think Tone.

I recently bought this bass and so far I am very impressed. It is much better than my old one (Kramer). It is a very standard bass with nothing flashy or special about it, but it definatley gets the job done.

Picked one up this past Saturday at the Robinson store. I had decided to "settle" for a Standard but, was extremely satisfied with the the bass I purchased. The finish was awesome and, it plays like a Fender. If you're on a budget, check it out, I,m completely satisfied. This is the second bass I've purchased from Guitar Center, it's just too easy, the only hard part is making up your mind. ask for Glenn, great person!
