NEW REVIEW - Great Bass.
I just want to say, this is a great bass. I tested it at Guitar Center before actually buying it and it was absolutely great. I was really surprised. There are so many different sounds on this great instrument and I my self have not heard them all yet. The only disappointment that I found was that the input Jack became very loose and it's almost broken. The tuner is also a little bit off. While the tuner does recognize true tune, it does have a lot of trouble recognizing if a string is in tune, especially in my acoustic guitar. But other wise this was a great buy and I am not disappointed, especially since Fender is a brand that I don't usually use.

great for beginers
this is a great bass if your just playing bass in a garage band, or just massing around, but if you are playing in an actual live proformance, or any other kind of show, oyu will need to upgrade, the amp is kind of loud and can really put out a better sound than it looks like it would, but the bass itself lacks quality, i acoasionaly crackles, and it has nearly no sustain

Awesome beginner bass
I bought this bass as a beginner bassist and i love it. it is a very nice bass and the only thing i replaced is the tuning knobs.

AWESOME
This bass is amazing. I have several basses, and in my personal opinion, with a little tweaking this bass can hold its own against fenders. I absolutely love this bass. If you are beginner, this is probably the best package you can get for yourself. I received a mexican fender for graduation, and I still occasionally choose this over it. I use it everywhere! It has held up to every challenge.
The package is great. The amp is not amazing, but you don't need an amazing amp to start. You can certainly get volume out of it, and it can get some pretty good tones. Everything else has held up!
Some of my friends buy other bass packages to start. They are almost immediately disappointed. This is the best way to start! Thank you squire!

WOW!!
This is the best bass i've ever owned. The tone is very warm, and cuts through the insanity of my hardcore punk band nicely. The neck on it is very slim and fast, and upper fret access is a dream. All the hardware is perfect, i didn't even upgrade the bridge like i usually do. Bottom line: This bass is better than any other bass in this price range, period.

Good Package
Good package! The bass is pretty good, the amp is great and the tuner is fine. The only problem i had was with the strap. It kept coming off while I was playing. Besides that, this is a pretty good bass package.

great bass
i just bought this bass the other day, and i absolutely love it, especially because i'm a beginner and just learning. first off, it's a beautiful bass, i got the red one. the amp sounds great and can go very loud. i haven't looked at the book or watched the DVD yet. the cable is really long, too. the headphones are great quality and are very useful to me when i want to play when others are asleep. the case is pretty good too, it'll probably last a while. the strap is nice too, and stays on there quite well. my only complaint is that the tuner is kind of cheap and that one of the knobs on my bass was kind of twisted, but that was easily fixed. i love my new bass, it's tons of fun to play, and i would reccomend it to anyone beginning. :]

Great starter
The amp is very solid and the bass is not bad either,though the sound of the bass could be better. I own the black version and I like it a lot. The amp is very compact and can throw out sound really well. This is one of the best begginer sets out there,it even comes with a DVD for begginers like me.

My first and only bass and I've got to say its pretty sweet.
I'm new to bass so I probably can't say how good this is to other basses, but it sounds good to me and other bassists I know say it sounds good. The amp is good too; it does it's job and it doesn't ever get very noisy. It is very hard to be as loud as the guitarist and drummer in my band though, so if you are in a band or are going to be in a band, you'll probably want a bigger amp. As soon as I can afford it I'm getting something louder.

A perfect way to build your skills!
This bass is perfect for beginners, coming with everything you need. The bass is beauitful along with the sound. Amp is perfect and strong. Only flaw I noticed is the strap comes off of the bass a lot. Other than that it's 5 stars!
