Fender Special Edition Jaguar Thinline Electric Guitar Blemished - Like New (H83004)

A wonderful variation on the Jaguar theme with its semi-hollow body and single f hole.

Celebrate 50 years of Fender’s most distinctive guitar model with the Special Edition Jaguar Thinline, which presents an elegant new take on the model. Most notably, it features a semi-hollow alder body with ash top and back, binding and f hole - the boldest design departure ever for a Jaguar.

Other specialized features include a bound modern “C” shaped maple neck with bone nut, classic Jaguar scale length (24"), 7.25"-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 vintage-style frets, vintage-style single-coil Jaguar pickups with individual on/off slide switches, two-position tone switch, separate volume and tone controls for both circuits (rhythm and lead), and vintage-style floating tremolo with lock button.

Fender Special Edition Jaguar Thinline Electric Guitar Features:

  • Unique semi-hollow body with f hole
    Comfortable C-shaped maple neck
2 vintage-style Jaguar pickups with expansive controls
Chrome hardware and vintage-style floating tremolo

The Jaguar Thinline is a cool & fun guitar! It has a sound all it's own and should not be confused with a Strat. What sold me was the review on YouTube. It has the single coil, unique attack that I like. After watching a few bands that play the Jaguar, I realized that this ax was underrated. However, it has a retro sound and may not be for everyone. If you are into "heavy metal", this probably isn't your guitar. What is controversial is it's switches and controls. There are two different circuits and the switching can be confusing. I recommend watching a video on how this guitar actually works. Another weird feature is it's tremelo. This is not a Strat. The arm does not screw in and the bridge rocks back and forth to produce the vibrato. It doesn't lock down and you cannot get the big time dive-bombs with this system. What I like is that this ax is really a lead guitar. It's sound stands out and cuts through the mix very much like a Telecaster. Actually, it's for a more advanced player than a beginner. Like all single coils, effects work well with this guitar. The wah-wah makes it "scream"! I recommend trying one out before you buy. Fender makes the Squier Jaguar which is quite good and reasonably priced.

This is One---Awesome---Guitar! I have many Strat's, Tele's, one Gibson, and a couple Epi's, but none of them compare to the play ability, and the sound from this one of a kind guitar, the Jaguar Thinline. Anyone who has never played a Jaguar (a quality Jaguar) be it an American or this one a Japanese Jaguar, don't know what they're missing. I can't get over how easy it plays and the sound is just---awesome. Played through a good quality amp it'll be pretty hard not to fall in love with it.
