  • A lot of twang for the buck!

As reviewed by Lana on 3/31/2010

I've been looking over this guitar for several weeks and finally bought it today. I could not be happier with this instrument's quality. My local shop does some setup on all of their guitars, so I can't say how this one was out of the box. I can tell you that the jumbo frets and fretboard binding are buttery smooth, and that the SD pups absolutely scream when you want them to. The beefy neck and the fact that it is set into the body add sustain, and I really like the coil tap on the tone control - it makes a big difference in the output. I also like the ability to switch back and forth between classic fender tele twang and serious strat rock/blues tones. I own several custom built tele's and this one ranks right up their with the best of the ones I own, for half the cost. I am very happy that I added this tele to my collection it sounds and feels great, and it is stunning to look at. I think that it isn't all that often that Fender comes up with something truly new and exciting in this day and age, but this one fits the bill!

  • good guitar

As reviewed by EP on 9/13/2009

I bought a Spalted maple telecaster and had good luck in shipping and the quality is fine no problems. For the price it plays wonderful and stays in tune way better than my 68' telecaster ever did. It has beautiful grain and the craftsmanship is good. It is not a USA guitar but not much is made here anymore. Again for the price I'm happy with it.

  • Great Axe

As reviewed by Jeff Hinson on 4/8/2010

Great guitar in my opinion. It offers the sound of Country Twang,Blues, and Rock using the combo of pickups and tone control. The center tap xformer is perfect for twang. Although it's heavier than a standard telecaster, its a beautiful guitar and eyecatcher. The service at Evansville Guitar Center was great. Get one...hopefully it will be a "limited" edition and a prize to keep.
