  • Amazing.

I bought mine used a few years ago now. I own the amber colored one with a rosewood fretboard. When I saw it at guitar center, I couldn't help but give it a try. So I plugged it in, and the tele really came alive. There's so many awesome features built right into the guitar. The Seymour Duncan double humbucker pickups have such a full beautiful sound. You have the choice to make it sound almost like a les paul. I think that's pretty awesome, but I do love the classic tele sound. Luckily they added a push/pull coil option onto the tone knob. This gives you the option to play through just a single pickup, like you would on a classic tele. The tele is very comfortable to play standing or sitting down. It has a nice cutout on the body like a strat would have, and it has a slight curve on the front of the body. This is different than most tele's, where they're more squared. The one thing I wish it had would be a thicker neck. I play a lot of acoustic guitar, and I'm used to a thicker neck. But the thinner neck is more comfortable for a lot of my friends, who love to fly up and down the neck. Overall I love this guitar, and I'll probably never get rid of it. Try one out, you'll love it!

  • a very different kind of tele

As reviewed by Tom on 6/16/2010

Ive always loved the shape of the telecaster, but i never had intended to buy one because i personally dont care for 9.5 inch fret board radius or the 2 single coil pickups. But this has a flatter fretboard that suits fast playing and high bends very well. It also has a pair of amazing semour duncan pickups that sound great for all styles. A set neck as apposed to a bolt on is a nice touch as well. I find this an all around awesome guitar that is extreamely versatile and also retains the classic tele looks(plus a nicer finish in my opinion). For this price it is a great buy.

  • Hard to find a better guitar for price.

Had my FMT Tele about a week now and still cant stop playing it. the more i play it, the harder it is to find a flaw. it looks, sounds, and plays great. the coil tap and great fender humbuckers give great versatility in tone. the set mahogany neck and mahogany body give great sustain. my only complaint would be that you cant really get a tele sound out of it. which should be expected from a mahogany body guitar with dual humbuckers. more guitar than you pay for.
