I've been through numerous Stratocaster stages and tested them all. I currently own an American Strat, a 2011 Deluxe with N3 pups, and now this beauty.
There is a very recognizable difference between these three Strat variations. All remain well within the tone and timbre requirements of the famous Stat sound, but each has it's own personality. The new Select Strat is more than just an upgrade in quality "select" woods and finishing, the sound is noticeably deeper with more gain. The pickups provide more desirable harmonic expression when over-driven, which immediately gives it it's own personality. The C-shaped neck is fast and easy to play. Could not be happier. This guitar is a dream to play. You'll love it every time you take it out of its custom case.
