Wow!

This is a Wow! Last year's American Standard was a wow... but I bought this one if you catch my drift. This guitar feels and sounds great. I've had Tex-Mex pickups in a maple neck guitar, but this pairing (with the rosewood) is a triumph. Fender has completely outdone themselves. Fender has broken the mold again. This thing sounds heavy with a tight bass, has loads of mid, and the highs actually throw sparks (not actually) :0 The look is another triumph... and the neck is a perfect size. This thing has 6105 frets on a 7.25 radius, which sounds strange, but it is pure genius. This is a work of art. Try one.

Road worn 60s strat

Ive had 2 strats, and a vintage 60's Jaguar. This thing is amazing. At first I thought why should I pay that much for a "worn" guitar, but The sound is incredible. This is the best sounding and playing guitar I have ever owned. I had the players deluxe a few years ago and this guitar plays better than that. Honestly, This may be the last guitar I buy in a VERY long time. It may "wear out" before I buy another one. If you have the cash, and are looking for something that sounds, looks and plays great, buy it. Thats all I can say.

The fact that it upsets so many people makes it pure rock n' roll.

Anyone who can't get over the fact that its a relic, is going to miss out on one heck of a guitar. From the smooth neck to the feel of the ultra-thin nitro finish to the powerful tone of the pickups - this guitar has it all. Plays well, stays in tune well and feels incredible in my hands. I played just about every kind of Strat there is and fell in love with this. After a proper set-up (so important with Fenders) it stayed in tune perfectly, even with heavy vibrato and bending and any issues with playability were instantly resolved. Compare it to a Mexican Standard and you'll quickly discover they have little in common except the origin of manufacture – not that there's anything wrong with the Mexicans, they just need a good set-up and some better pickups. Granted, I think the price is a bit steep given the Mexican origin, but it's still an amazing axe. Play it.

Best strat there is out there at the moment.

I decided to play this guitar because it just looked different so I did and I was blown away. Its way better than a amer standard and a bit cheaper. It looks and sounds better plays better the neck is much easier to use because the stain is a bit sanded down for aged look. I was blown away by the sound no matter what you play this guitar will slam your jaws to the floor!
