I worked with an electrical engineer and one of the pioneers of the whole "cables make a difference" issue back in the mid 70s. In those days we used to "braid" our own cable using some OFC and iridum connectors, blah, blah, blah. Yea, we got a good deal of flack from the non-believers, in fact there are still a few of them around today! Compared to the Monster 500 series cables, the Fender Platinum cable will really let your signal shine through... more gain, more detail, more character and color, more sheen... almost as though someone has taken a sheet off your amp.
Outstanding performance!!! One of the Sweetest sounding instrument cables available. This cable encourages you to play, you will enjoy hearing Tone you didn't know was hiding in your instrument. The cable is quite well protected with a PVC mesh outer sheath and lifetime warranty. When you start to play there is a clarity that is extrodinairy, this cable just let's you, your guitar, amp and cable become one. I use the Fender Platinum Acoustic Instrument Cable with my Fender Acoustasonic Stratocaster (Graphite top Strat which is one of Fender's Finest Guitars). This cable will hold its own against cables that are much more expensive. I have used cheap cables and I have used Mogami cables with my Acoustasonic Stratocaster...the Fender Premium Platinum Instrument Cable is the winner! The cheap cable will get you by and you will really like the Mogami cable, but I think you will love the Fender Premium Platinum Acoustic Instrument Cable. Costs less than Mogami and extremely satisfying. I haven't heard Fender's other premium cables but, if they are as good as this one you will not be disappointed. The question I have is...why isn't this on the shelf next to the Mogami cables? Purchased this Fender Premium Bass Cable to replace a fifteen year old cable, and I am blown away by the improvement in sound and tone quality! Beautiful, pure amazing sustain in all ranges....lows and highs are awesome! What an improvement this technology makes.
