Comfortable Jaguar body and shorter scale length with a powerful HSS pickup configuration.

The Fender Pawn Shop Jaguarillo Electric Guitar hot-rods traditional Jaguar design through the roof with a scorching HSS configuration in which all three pickups - two standard Stratocaster single-coils and an Atomic humbucking bridge pickup - are angled for enhanced bass and treble response. The Jaguar scale length permits the use of heavier gauge strings for a fuller sound while also still making string bends a breeze. Other unusual touches include a streamlined control layout (volume knob, tone knob and five-way blade pickup switch) and an Adjusto-Matic bridge with vintage-style floating tremolo tailpiece. This is no ordinary Jaguar.

Pawn Shop Series guitars are inspired by the more eccentric Fender creations of the mid-’60s to mid-’70s, which sometimes found their way to the outside world and into the more esoteric pages of Fender history. Crafted for thoroughly modern sound and quality, they present a creative alchemy of diverse Fender elements. New for 2012, the Pawn Shop Series introduces an unconventional new assortment of “guitars that never were but should have been.”

  • Amazingly Versatile Guitar

As reviewed by Mackenzie Bright on 6/29/2012

This guitar is amazing. It is a very high quality guitar. I own the Candy Apple Red finish and it is gorgeous. The "mint" colored pick guard gives it a vintage feel as well. When I first actually played it, I fell in love with it. It has the HSS pickup configuration and it is amazingly versatile! This Jaguarillo is not an ordinary Jaguar though. Obviously, the pickups are different than on a classic Jag, and also, there is a 5-way blade pickup switch like on a Strat. So in a way, this guitar reminds me of an HSS Strat with a Jaguar-shaped body design, but in other ways it is completely its own thing! It's a great choice for someone who doesn't want a Strat and wants an awesome-sounding versatile guitar.

  • Amazing guitar!!

As reviewed by Michael Charlton on 10/29/2012

I played one of these a few months back at the Guitar Center in Nashville and I loved it. It has a beautiful finish and the neck is really smooth. Overall really good looking, feeling, and sounding guitar. If I had the money you better believe i'd buy it, and you should as well.
