  • New Version 2 Fender Mustang IV

As reviewed by Michael Kelly on 5/7/2013

I just received my new Fender Mustang IV via UPS truck today and I have to say that I am Thrilled with it. The clean tones are wonderful and clear and sound sweet and I love messing around with the Fuse Software and changing the sounds and playing with the pedals on the software. This is the 8th amp I have purchased from Guitar Center and I have new and used, and I traded some in for others, but I am so happy that Guitar Center received these Mustang IV's in before any other outfit and they stand by their products. • You tube guys need to read this

As reviewed by James on 11/9/2014

I have been a tube guy since day one. I went buy a music store and just for kicks, plugged in to this amp. I left the store with it in hand. I have owned the best tube amps on the market not to include those that I have played through on rentals, etc. This amp is mind blowing to put it mildly. I was, and still am astonished at the tone. Now it took me a few days to tweek the tone out of it but I did. I guarantee each and every one of you that in a blind test, you`ll not be able to distinguish the difference in this amp and say a Bassman, or Twin, etc. I paid 440 bucks for this amp brand new. Not only does it have tone but imagine a Twin with gain channel or a 150 watt Fender Champ, or a Deluxe with a 4X12 Marshall Cab, etc.etc... Gettin the picture?? Hey, go ahead and walk on by it if ya want but be very careful when you sit that $2,000.00 rig on stage beside one of these bad boys because you just might get your feelings hurt. My background,..20+ years gigging and 12 years guitar tech. Ive been around.

  • Completely Surprised!

As reviewed by Robert bewley on 5/15/2013

I ordered the Mustang IV not really knowing how advanced it was. I was interested in wattage and price but this little amp is a kick ass amp. It comes with the 4 button footswitch and I ordered the 2 button option so there are so many variations on the sound I'm really pleased. At this point I'm still learning all the software. The only downside that I've experienced with this amp is that everyone else in my jam sessions wants to plug in and play it. The only other criticism I'd have is that the presets don't compliment volume so it takes some fiddling with the knobs to get them to graduate the way I'd like them to. For the price this is a heck of a Chinese Amp. I only wish the USA could produce them.
