  • Mustang bass cases, hard shell

    I have two of these hard shell Mustang bass cases. The cons: The snap securing the neck strap inside is difficult to press shut on one, and the outside latches are difficult to press closed on the other. The outer covering material is less sturdy than I would have hoped, and has torn with regular use in less than two years. The pros: All other parts are well made, sturdy, and operate well. The neck strap securing the bass inside the case is a nice safety feature. There is plenty of room to stow accessories inside with the bass. The handle is comfortable enough for carrying. The little "feet" prop the case up balanced and steady when you set it down. It's the only hard shell case I've found to fit my 1969 Fender Musicmaster and my new Fender Mustang basses.
