  • Great Bass for Smaller Hands

    As reviewed by R J on 7/30/2011

The Mustang is what you're looking for if you have smaller hands and have trouble with the longer necks of other basses. I owned one of these basses about 30 years ago, and I regret all the time that I sold it. The only problem I ever had with it was a buzzing from a copper plate in the cavity under the pickup, which was very easy to fix. I replaced the factory pickup with a DiMarzio P-Bass pickup to give it more punch, so if you're less than pleased with the "out-of-the-box" tone, that's always an option. Great classic Fender styling.

  • incredible

As reviewed by dakota mcelley on 1/20/2011

I have had my mustang for 3 years now and i have not regreted a minute of owning it. The short neck is great for me because i have smaller hands. It has a wide range of tone and is extremenly reliable, I have played shows im smaller bars and big venues and it works for everything. I would recomend this bass to anyone, go play one and you will prolly have the same reaction

  • Great

As reviewed by dollyface on 10/13/2006

I've been playing this bass for about 2 years - in and out of the studio. It has a very solid construction and feels great. it feels much lighter than any bass i have ever played, which is a good thing in my book. the sound is incredible when used through a decent amp. the frets aren't too far apart, so if you want to walk along the neck with minimal effort, you should check this one out.
