  • NOT IMPRESSED!!

As reviewed by Garrett Grasshoff on 5/17/2011

About a year ago I bought this guitar because I saw the reviews saying it sounds great. So i got it and truth is the sound unplugged is decent, but when you plug it in it doesn't good at all this should be sold in a acoustic electric starter kit!!!! If you are debating between this another guitar get the other one dont waste your time!!!

  • Fender, you did not let me down!

As reviewed by Matt! on 6/28/2010

When I first got this fine guitar, I was very happy to play it. It has a great sound and is comfortable to play. It has a built in tuner, controls, volume control, and it already comes with a battery to work the tuner! My only complaint is that the body is small, but it still plays vry well and I am very happy with this purchase.

  • Perfect for electric players!!!

As reviewed by Obsessed Guitarist on 2/16/2011

I bought this Fender Malibu CE in "natural" 1/2 year ago and still can't put it down for my beloved electrics! It is the same scale as my 335, with the similar neck of my strat!!! As my first acoustic electric, it has been a delightful transition. I wanted a less boomy guitar for noodling and studio use, and tried out 20 different parlor size Acoustic Electrics, but this one has the best acoustic tone for a parlor size and fits me more like an electric. It has a sweet clean treble and sustains forever. It has less bass because of it's size, but I don't miss that at all. Plugged in records well. These do have quality issues. Mine has some stain on the fingerboard missing and the pick up wire clip was loose, but the top was way better than others and intonation was better, so I went for the higher quality top and tone and am completely happy. I like the great vintage look and tone so much, I would not buy the more expensive SCE model. Just plain fun and a joy to play!!!
