An intense signature Fender Strat designed for metal.

The Fender Jim Root Stratocaster electric guitar is as unique as Slipknot's guitar maestro himself. Featuring a white mahogany body and a 25.5" scale maple neck with a thin "C" shape and an oversized headstock fitted with Fender Deluxe cast/sealed locking tuning machines. A maple fretboard sports 22 jumbo frets with a 12" to 16" compound radius that promotes super fast shredding.

The Jim Root guitar has an EMG-60 active humbucker (neck) and EMG-81 active humbucker (bridge) that let your solos roar through the crowd. The Fender Stratocaster's 6-saddle strings-through-body hardtail bridge adds even more sustain. Includes a hardshell case.

  • What a strat.

As reviewed by trevor green on 1/18/2013

I've known for a while, ive wanted this guitar. But I was more than blown away by it when i received it. Its the most versatile guitar ive ever played. Its super sleek but still has a huge sound to it. The emg's are amazing with it. You can almost basically any tone you want. I was a bit worried about this guitar on a clean setting, but still sounds crisp and clear. I love the matte paint job as well. Some people might see it as a flaw, but I think its pretty cool. Definitely worth a look at if you want a awesome sounding stratocaster with no twang. So this guitar is worth the money and definitely gets 5 stars.

  • Excellent Workmanship, Outstanding Tone

As reviewed by Aaron M on 6/6/2010

I inherited this from my brother who got it due to the excellent customer service of Guitar Center. He bought a Mexico Strat, which had a damaged neck, and they offered to replace it with the only other Strat they had in stock of the same or greater value - this American-made Stratocaster. The workmanship and electronics are impeccable, and the tone is warm and full. This American-made Fender Stratocaster is an absolutely perfect solid-body electric. Simple, but flawless.
