More room; classic

I have owned many guitars and cases, classic wood and modern plastic in 40 years of being a musician. I have owned several Fender Jazz Basses and Stratocasters, and the integrity of construction of the good old Fender case is without peer. The plastic ones have feet punch through, hinges tear out, warpage and cracking; but worst of all, there's never enough room for cords, allen wrenches, picks, wide straps, tuners, etc. You can carry your lunch and maybe Jimmy Hoffa in a Fender case. I one time had a car roll over my bass case, right across the bass at the neck junction, took it out of the case and found only a couple marks on the frets and a little crunched area on the case that didn't even show! That happpened on the road in Enning, SD in August of 1973. The real leather ends of the old cases were tough. Ignore the plastic; never trust a gig bag unless you also collect china, and just buy the real deal.

Great way to transport

I use this fender bass case to hold my Reggie Hamilton jazz bass. These things are extremely durable. I have tossed this thing around and seems to be solid as a rock. I also love the tweed with the red interior. Gives it a desireable vintage look. Would definitly buy another!

If you are looking for a case to throw in the back of the band truck don't buy this one, buy an SKB. If you put your Bass in the back seat this is a nice case. Classic Fender(like the good old days)beautiful interior, solid construction. I am very careful with my equipment so this case is perfect for me. An American Jazz and an American Jazz case just kind of go together.
