American-made, lacquer finished, and now a Badass bridge!

The American-made Precision Bass is a classic, the most widely played and enduringly popular bass worldwide. It was Fender's first bass and in all this time its design has only been refined, not changed. The Highway One P Bass is American made and sports a thin satin lacquer finish that looks great, lets the grain of the alder show through, and ages beautifully. Now the Highway One has been further upgraded with a Badass II bridge. Changing to a heavier bridge is the most common modification made by P Bass owners. The Highway One comes premodified by Fender, along with cool '70s styling and the lowest price of any American-made Fender P Bass.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • simple, light, with all the guts

As reviewed by Randy W. on 11/12/2007

I've always been a fan of jazz basses and have more than a handful, but there's something simplistic about the p-basses. One volume, one tone, nothing to mess up. Consistent tone that sounds the same. I finally got an itching to finally pick up a p-bass and compared the highway 1 side by side with the American and American with S1 electronics. I have to say, this, with the new bridge, with the satin finish, it is the most played bass I have now. It is light, just over 7lbs! It sounds great! No need to worry about active batteries or different tones, just a simple rockin' bass.

  • Excellent Bass

As reviewed by Mike on 11/13/2007

I have the honey blond, and it has a great, mellow sound. I love the big 70's headstock. Extremely playable, and the workmanship is impeccable. All the frets are good, tight neck-joint, great bridge, and the knobs feel fine. If you like vintage looks and deep, rich tones, this bass is a great value, especially for made in the USA.

  • just got the highway one!

As reviewed by peter gray on 3/11/2011

This bass sounds really warm and full. I have had many basses, a USA jazz that sounded muddy, a Japanese precision that was not so great. I play a music man, some peaveys and gibsons and have had dozens of decent basses. I just got it yesterday and was amazed by the great tone and sustain this bass had. I played it through my ampeg v-4 with two 1 x 12 aguilar speakers and it sounded like the best tone around. I would recommend this bass. I am so glad I finally got a decent P-bass. Get one, you will not be dissapointed.
