I give it five stars, because it is the only case I've found that did fit my mandolin. This case was designed for my mandolin i believe, but even so, the mandolin's tailpiece will have to be removed to fit it in there, it is an extremely tight fit, but I feel a lot safer with my mandolin, and going to band practice.
First off, this case is not a mandolin case, but a banjo-mandolin case. It is well built, and well worth the money, but it barely fit my 1913 Vega Banjo-Mandolin. The drum head was a really tight squeeze. However, since it is the only case on today's market that comes close to fitting it, I was very happy to get it, and the price was very reasonable for the quality. The alternative was having a case specially built for my instrument, and that would have cost me a lot more
