Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass (105497135)
Availability:

The bass with lean, mean stride.

Fender's Geddy Lee Jazz Bass Guitar is an exact replica of the tonally singular instrument that Rush's revered bassist and vocalist has riffed away on in front of thousands of devoted fans worldwide and a handful of mega-selling albums.

The Fender J-bass has an alder body; the one-piece C-shaped maple neck (thin) has a maple fingerboard with black binding and black rectangular position markers. The two vintage Jazz Bass single-coil pickups crackle with life and bristle with the energy; other features include chrome hardware, vintage-style tuning machines and a Badass Bass II bridge.

  • Felt young again

As reviewed by chopper down south on 8/2/2010

Back in the 70's, all the serious fender bass players replaced their bridges with the baddass 2 bridge. I put one on my 74 P bass and went from re-adjusting the bridge once a week to never touching it. Besides the cool vintage look, this bass plays smooth and easy. Whether through my vintage Ampeg, or my Hartke kickback, the sound is butter. I searched high and low and for the money, nothing else was even close. MOST importantly, I had this bass for 5 years and my guitar tech found a problem with my truss rod. He called fender and they sent me a new neck!! after 5 years Fender stood behind it. What else can I say

  • Bang for the Buck

As reviewed by Ethan Shepley on 7/9/2010

I purchased this guitar over the Memorial Day weekend after trying out other Fender Jazz basses at the store. Very happy with the purchase. If this guitar were made in the US instead of Japan, it would carry a $1500 price tag. Slim, very fast neck, Badass II bridge and that classic thumpy J sound. With the maple fretboard, it's a nice contrast to my MusicMan Stingray. A great guitar for the money.

  • Great buy! Worth every penny

As reviewed by Dan on 2/16/2011

I just picked up my Geddy Lee a few days ago and so far it is worth the money. The intonation is incredible and moving along the fretboard is easy due to the smaller neck. I would highly recommend this bass to anyone!
