Simplicity at its best.
I have purchased this amp about 6 months ago. This amp is a very simple one as far as its features are concerned. It is very easy & quick to shape your desired sounds. The best feature which really impressed me about this amp is the special designed speakers with large voice coil cones which is definitely a plus point for this amp for producing powerful, punchy, warm and well balanced overall sound. The sound breaks up nicely from these speakers. The clean channel is loud and clear but I still wishes that it should have a Presence control for more penetrating bright sound. On the other hand the overdrive channel is great for any kind of music. Personally I like the Drive channel sound more than the More drive channel for Bluesy and rock type of music. The More drive channel is somewhat noisey but it has got bundle of sustain. In my opinion if you want to further enhance the overall sound of this amp then try to connect a 7-Band graphic equalizer and a compressor with it and keep it ON all the time. I also keep the Mid-contour switch activated all the time as it gives pleasant Beefy touch to my sound. The reverb is satisfactory and I do not use it beyond 5 because it becomes unnatural and starts to sound too much metallic. One more thing I have noticed that if you use the effect loop the overdrive channels really improves remarkably and here what I think its overdrive Touch-senstive feature also seems to work more effectively but there is a slight decrease in the overall volume level but it is not a big issue. I have used this amp with both single coil & humbucker pickup guitars and I found it quite good. I did not like the Power ON/OFF switch located at its rear panel and also do not like the cheap speakers logos which do not look like professional ones (Now recently these logos have been replaced with real sober looking ones). Nevertheless this is a worthful & impressive amp by keeping in view of its overall quality & price tag.

cleanliness is godliness........;)
I've played on many amps before... solid state & tube, whatever brand you youve heard of, i've played on it. As reggae being my main specialty in style there is no other amp for me than the frontman 2x12.It's superb clean channels has let me explore the possiblities not only with effects pedals but also by direct guitar into the amp and the distortion channels are great too just some adjustments and bang you get what you need metal no problem punck and rock no contest...Reggae is well known and distinguished for its clean and rugged "scratch" sound and no other amp has come close to what i have been searching for, playing reggae on stage it is crucial for me to be able to sound loud and clean without any distortion, specially when singing and playing at the same time i need to be able to hear my self. With this amp i can cut through any sound trying to stop me to reach my full potential on stage and for me the hotter the battle the sweeter the victory.Playing in a band that that ranges from Reggae to hip hop and metal to country all in one show you need something that is universally versitile and if you're that musician this is the perfect amp for you.Tough and well built for on the road use unlike tube amps heavy expensive and having to worry about blowing a tube or having to handle with care this amp you can throw around like a crash dummy and still get the best out of its use. virtually indistructable ,lightwieght and fairly inexpesive this amp will suite your need, begginer or advanced guitarist trust me you'll love it......!

Sounds great.... and LOUD!
I needed an amp that had some volume and a little bite to it. A friend of mine recommended this one. He said it was a tank, and virtually indestructable. I had to believe him since he totes his with him almost everywhere. I picked this thing up and have to say I am completely satisfied. Not too overloaded with features, but thats what pedals are for and I already have a bunch of those. Just needed something to play around the house, but still be able to crank it up over a drummer or just really piss off the neighbors. I was actually surprised by this thing. You turn it on and its nice and clean, then you tweak the settings and you can vary it from ordinary to downright sick. A lot more here than I expected. Don't really see a whole lot with the reverb, but the drive and more drive are fun and the mid contour settings really help you get your sound just right. If you're looking for a basic, simple amp... this is it... and did I mention it's LOUD! You can really feel every ounce of those 100 watts.

Very loud & very impressive
This amp is a workhorse. If you're looking for an amp that has lots of power, a great sound (clean or dirty) and a great price the Fender Frontman fm212 is the amp for you. I used to play thru a Behringer 2x12 which was 2x60 watts. It was a good amp and I hated to sell it but when my Fender Frontman was delivered I was blown away! My old Behringer was loud but it was very muddy and it was all digital so there was a delay when you switched channels so I didn't even use the amps distortion (I just used a MXR distortion plus peddle). My first band practice with the Frontman I couldn't even turn it up past 3. The drive/more drive channel is excellent! I don't even use my distortion pedals anymore.
The Fender Frontman does more than keep up with the Marshall halfstack my lead guitar player uses.
This is a great amp at an even better price.
