Bring the noise with Fender's sleek monster.

Now you can "bring the noise" with Fender's new Frank Bello Bass, a sleek, all-black tone monster that'll easily take whatever you dish out and then laugh about it. Nobody punishes an instrument like Bronx-bred bass monster Frank Bello, a fact to which thousands of rabid Anthrax and Helmet fans can readily attest.

A true hybrid, the Frank Bello Signature P Bass has a slab-cut alder Jazz Bass body and a modern C-shaped maple Precision Bass neck with matching black headstock. The thunder comes from a Seymour Duncan Basslines SPB-3 Quarter Pound split-coil Precision Bass pickup and a Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Jazz Bass pickup; the only onboard control is for volume!

Other features include Fender/Schaller Deluxe Lite-Bass straight-shaft tuning machines, a Badass III bridge, "Fender Bass" headstock decal, Bello caricature on the back of the headstock and his signature on the neck plate.

Signature series....flop

I purchased this bass thinking, hey its a signature bass. Its Frank Bello. I was happy with my Steve Harris so why not try it out. First thing I thought when I got it out of the shipping box was Made in Mexico. I know Mexican made Fenders have come a long way, but not on this one. Set up took forever with the Leo Quann Badass Bridge III. It took forever to dial it in, and since the neck has rosewood it takes forever to find the sweet spots. I enjoy frank bello and his bass performances so I wonder why certain basses get made in Mexico or Japan. These are signature basses. At least make them in Japan. If you like setting up for hours by all means buy it. I would sum it all up like so. If your looking for a good wall collecter, this is one for you. Don't ever remove the bridge. The screws are undersized. If you tighten to tight it will strip.
