  • wow!!! this is an awesome guitar!

As reviewed by Rich B on 10/13/2010

I have a squier strat and this mim strat is a huge step up in quality materials and sound. There is little to no noise from the pickups and the neck feels smooth and extremely playable. I have had many types of guitars and we all have our favorite types, but this one to me can play all styles of music and seems the best one for me to try to solo on as well. hope this helps some one out, but you really need to get to a store and play one yourself.

  • true fender quality!

As reviewed by slava vaitsenak on 1/9/2011

I have had many guitars in my life, and this is at the top of the charts in my opinion. It looks like fender has started making their Mexican strats with premium material. This is definitely the best mim strat I have ever owned. It has a glossy coated neck and fretboard and my fingers speed across the maple fretboard naturally. I have had many guitars from epiphone, to bc rich, to squier, and the ol' ibanez. This is definitely better than my other guitars. The pickups hav barely any extra noise from the amp. It has solid black body of alder and white pups and knobs that make this look almost exactly like David gilmour's guitar. If you like pink floyd, you'll love this guitar mimicking their sound. Great tone, great quality, and great craftsmanship. I rate it a ten for the price.

  • Fender did it right

As reviewed by Strat Addict on 5/5/2011

I currently have three strats. Two Am Std and one MIM. I played this guitar tonight at GC and was blown away by the feel and playability. The nut width is 1.69", slightly wider than an Am Std. It also has jumbo frets. The neck is smooth, fast and has a nice tint. I have to believe that all these features contribute to this being one of the easiest guitars I've ever played. The ONLY thing I didn't like is the black pickguard and would probably change it to parchment. I played it through a Fender Princeton tube amp and it sounded amazing. I will definitely be adding this guitar to my herd of strats and I can say for sure it will be my new #1. I never thought I would find a strat that I like better than my Am Std, but this is it.
