Good Sound!

This amp is incredible!!The pedal it comes with works great for any type of sound changes, except for distortion to a higher distortion, which can easily be fixed with a pedal. The effects are great for playing anything. And the tone is near perfect.

GREAT

I got it yesterday and it rocks, i tuned it to get all the tones i like, Clapton, Boston, AC/DC, Green Day, ect. This thing is great and it cranks out the volume, in my room i have it on the lowest and its like my 15 watt crate on about 4. It looks SO much better in person than in this pic. Mine came from oakdale GC, they special ordered it from missouri for me but its not a 1 button foot pedal like it says mine came with a 2 button, channel and effect. The clean is great and all the distortion settings are all great too. I would recomend it over the 25 watt of the same amp so you can do gigs with + the effects sound better on a 65. Great price and sound.

Beautiful sound

The FM65 is extremely versatile and I can get any sound from blues, rock, metal, punk to grunge by Fiddling with the tone settings/pressing mid contour switch in. It has pre out and in so you can have an effects loop, and has a one button footswitch. I wish it had chorus onboard (it has reverb) and it would have been good to have remote switching of the mid contour. No need to go any louder than than 4 on clean and 3 on distortion, when I cranked it up in the store it was loud, and It would be A good size for most gigs.

Total bang for the buck!

Great amp - I've had it for over a week & I can't leave it alone! Endless combinations of effects & sounds, and can this thing wail - it is LOUD! Wish it came with a dust cover -otherwise, highly recommended.

Very NIce Amp

This is a very nice amp. While I typically like twin speakers this one is about right for our church choir. At 65 Watts it is loud enough, without distotion, to be heard. At the same time it is light enough to be transported relatively easy. It is fun to be able to play around with the amp models. Although I do not use them as much in church, I play with them at home to experiment with different sounds. I am not sure how the amp modeling compars with the "modeling boxes" as I have never had one of these, but the amp modeling satisfies my base needs. Of note is that you can also play the amp with no modeling what so ever, although that is a bit "dead". When I play with out th e amp models I do use the FSX effects to add depth to the tone. I run both a 12 string and a my 6 strings through the amp and they are quite nice. While the sound is not as rich (in my opinion) as a twin speaker arrangemnt it is accepatble after you experiment with the controls. Probably the only down side to the amp is that there is only one instrument input. For me that is not an issue but for some that might be a problem. I think this a fine amp for what it is intended to be. For a small venue like my church it provides adequate sound and range for my guitars. It also provides a variety of options that are reasonable while at the same time does not break the bank with its cost. If you are looking for a medium amp that allows amp modeling, without various band presets, then this amp is worth considering. I have been happy withs it overall performance.

garage glen

I have had this amp for over a year. It's volume control stinks! Go to the one setting...nothing, go to the two setting bam! 30 watts.Go past that on the four setting full on, in your face 65 watts! Why have 5 thru 10? Loud amp for the price, but control your volume with one of your effect boxes or guitar. The clean side and reverb are good, but the distorsion and effects side are boxie..... in other words lame. But if you can't be heard over the drums and money is a issue, buy it.

dont waste money

This amp is ok if you just wanna play and arent picky about specifics or anything, but if your looking for a good sound, dont buy this. The effects are a nice thing to have, but the channels are all kind of sucky. any type of harder sound, metal, rock, comes out muffled, and when played next to a spider III 75W you will be blownaway by the difference. If your looking for an amp as a beginner, take my word and go buy the line sixversion of this amp.
