laminated spruce top, basswood back and sides, and Fishman ION-T preamp system.

The Fender FA135CE Concert Acoustic Guitar is built on the concert-style platform for a sleek, modern design. The laminated spruce top features X-bracing for bright, punchy tone, ideal for lead guitar. The neck is nato, and the back and sides are laminated basswood-both tone woods known for letting the mid and high frequencies sing out.

Thanks to the basswood back and sides, the Fender FA135CE is very light, avoiding strain to your neck or back during prolonged playing. The chrome tuners offer precision tuning. The guitar also features an impressive electronics system, featuring the Fishman ION-T preamp and built-in chromatic tuner, which provides lightning-fast tuning and amplification. The preamp features a volume dial, phase and contour buttons, and a tuner power button.

The FA135CE is fashioned with a natural gloss polyurethane finish, aged fretboard and body bindings, and a white concentric ring rosette that offers a striking contrast, and an appearance as beautiful as its sound.

Case sold separately.

  • this compares to a 1500 dollar guitar

As reviewed by hank sterling on 10/3/2011

i bout this guitar a month ago. Its sounds beautiful, better than all of the guitars i own. it has a cut away on the neck, it makes it easy to reach the higher frets. the lightweight ( only about 1 pound) lets you play for prolonged time, without putting any strain on your neck this guitar sounds beautiful and looks beautifully i reccomend this for a beginner and even a expert

  • Disappointing

As reviewed by lance h on 11/23/2011

I own several other Fender guitars. I purchased this one as an emergency replacement while the bridge was being replaced on my other acoustic. The guitar arrived set up terribly. The nut grooves were so high that it caused all the notes to go sharp when the strings were depressed. The nut was also cut at the wrong angle and caused the high e to have a sitar like twang. The pickup did not work on the low end and it had a nasty fret buzz. The pickup problem was fixed but none of the other problems were covered by the manufacturers warranty. The repairs that were supposed to take a week ran four weeks instead. I would advise anyone against purchasing this guitar.

  • Great Little Guitar

As reviewed by Eric on 7/13/2011

I wanted an acoustic, something smaller and quieter, I have a couple strats, a Grestch hollow body, and a few other electrics. This fits the bill and doesn't break the bank. This guitar sounds good, but don't put it up against anything out of its price point! If you want louder go for the DG60, unpluged I think it sounds a little better, but I didn't want a Dreadnaught, size, space, noise. One thing, check out the electronics, this one had an almost dead battery in the preamp. When I plugged it in, and started playing, it acted like it had a bad plug, cracking, popping, and all kinds of bad noises. New Battery, sounds Great, Love the built in tuner!
