Covered in rugged leatherette with all-original simulated leather tooling, this plywood Telecaster/Stratocaster case features rugged hinges and drawbar latches with a locking central latch. Genuine leather handle is thickly padded for carrying comfort.
Gorgeous case. Really worth the money in every sense. Extreme WOW factor. A little heavy with guitar in it. But worth the slight extra effort.
The Fender Tooled Western case looks great and gives the country look of real tooled leather while being made of durable textured synthetic material. A must for any "Rawhide" player, especially if you like both kinds of music - Coutnry and Western (like the Blues Brothers).
I gotta tell ya: As cool as the pictures are on this website, and the Fender website, and they are cool, they just don't do this thing justice at all! The tooling is so deep and dimensional that it just astounds you to look at it. The gold braid between the tooled tolex cover and the leather end pieces is such a nice touch, and the inside of the accessory compartment is tooled on the inside as well. The black plush lining on the inside of the case doesn't get captured as good as it really is in the pictures either! I picked mine up today, and by the time I had it out of the cardboard shipping box, a half a dozen employees, and that many customers were standing around it with their mouths hanging open absolutely "gulp smacked" I keep hearing the same coment over and over. "That case deserves to be IN a case. It's a little extra dough' and probably over the top for an economy model guitar, but if you have a tele or a strat that you really love, a few extra bucks isn't much to spend on one of your favorite guitars. From a functional standpoint the case fits my strat quite nicely, and as snug as you would ever need it to be, and is very well built. Once again I can't tell you what a treat it was to see an entire music store go ga-ga over a guitar case! That sort of says it all,doesn't it? Fender really got it right this time!
