As reviewed by G Hand on 6/5/2011

I have recently acquired one of these guitars from a friend of mine. Granted it was free for me, it is still well worth the money. It sounds really good for a budget guitar and plays very well. The only thing I have an issue with is the bridge pins being plastic are a little tought o get to stay in their respective spots when re-stringing. Other than that it stays in tune well and with a gooed set of Bronze strings, it has a nice rich sound and good sustain. String bends are effortless and vibratto is easily accomplished and rings out well. This is not just a beginners guitar but one that even a veteran player can appreciate. You just have to remember this is not a $1,200 guitar. It will never be one so don't have those kind of expectations with this one. Buy it, play it and enjoy it!

  • Great investment, not too expensive

As reviewed by Seth McCoy on 7/16/2012

This guitar is exactly what I wanted. I've had it for about 3 months now. It has a great sound at a very resonable price. Before this I had a Lyon which is made by Washburn, so this was a HUGE upgrade from that. This guitar is very easy to play. I can go into any tuning I want without having to worry about the strings breaking like I did on my Lyon. I would definitely recommend the Fender to anyone.

  • For the $$, you can't go wrong

As reviewed by George Baia on 7/26/2012

I bought this guitar during a Guitar Center Forth of July Sale. The guitar I got sounds and plays great and not just for an inexpensive guitar. It especially plays easy with the action set on the low side AND no fret buzz at all on mine! The strings that came on it were cheap, but no biggie, just replace with your favs. The only thing I really needed to do was condition to fret board. The Indian Rosewood seemed a bit dry, but with a quality fret board conditioner, it took care of that issue. The only other thing I'm going to do is replace the plastic bridge pins with ivory ones. All in all, best $ I ever spent.
