This 1960 Stratocaster Light Relic Masterbuilt is a one-off from The Fender Custom Shop crafted by Master Builder Jason Smith.
The 1960 Stratocaster Masterbuilt features a lightweight alder body with a 3-tone sunburst nitrocellulose lacquer finish given a Light Relic treatment”the finish shows minimal natural wear from years of light use, with some body checking on a guitar that otherwise looks like it's been well-preserved since the '60s. The body is fitted with a quartersawn maple neck with a luxurious vintage tint, a '60s C-shape, and a 9.5" radius dark rosewood fretboard with tall and narrow 6105 jumbo frets. Modern upgrades include a trio of '60s Strat pickups with a 5-way switch and rear tone control wired to the bridge pickup provide the complete range of tones from mellow to malevolent.
