The Fender Master Built 1969 Rosewood Stratocaster Electric Guitar offers the aficionado an intriguing combination of style and features. It sports a rosewood body and comes with a NOS treatment for the look of a vintage instrument that's been stored and barley played. The rosewood neck has a 1966 Strat oval C profile and 6105 wire frets for a comfortable late-'60s feel.
Electronics include three handwound 1966 Strat pickups with no special wiring for piercing, authentic tone. A vintage tremolo and tuners round out the hardware package of this special instrument. Includes hardshell case and assorted accessories.
Greg Fessler came to the Fender Custom Shop in 1990, working his way up through the ranks as an apprentice. He assisted with the Robben Ford signature line of guitars, eventually becoming the sole builder of those instruments and, later, Ford’s personal builder. Fessler has built one-off Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars for a host of players, including bluesman Jeff Healey, Rhonda Smith (Prince), Neil Schon and 311 to name only a few.
