  • The Absolute Best! My Go To Guitar!

As reviewed by eric kirkland on 5/7/2014

I purchased this guitar used at guitar center in tempe az and it has been nothing short of phenomenal. I had been looking around at guitars just trying them out while on vacation and this guitar was up on the wall like a shining diamond, it had been kept in perfect condition with all the case candy and a still working 9v! Anyways, I cranked it through a fender supersonic 60w and immediately fell in love, it made every sound you could imagine, clean sparkly tone? Perfect driving rock? Pop Punk? Pop? Blues? Metal? It literally hs served its purpose for everything! It is also LIGHT LIGHT LIGHT. I can pick it up while soloing and put it behind my head when practicing just to be dumb. The balance is perfect. Everything is amazing! PLus the finish is beautiful. It really lets stage lights sparkle, and the one ply pick guard never gets in the way. The 9v lasts forever. Now onto some details. The v neck is the fastest and sleekest neck I've ever played, its perfects for the jimi hendrix, thumb root note chords and things of the same style, but works well for every note I've ever played. The Blocked tremolo really makes this guitar sound full i think, After i had played it for a year or two i started to notice some weird overtones, turned out it was just some spring rattle. The solution? Place a piece of felt behind the back plate across the springs, worked perfectly. With the TBX control you can get those santana leads you've always wanted, or you can crispen up the pickups for more sparkle. No matter what i try to do, i cannot make this guitar sound bad! Ive tried to put it on all treble with distortion and no mid boost. IT STILL SOUNDED IMMACULATE. The quality build of this guitar is beyond satisfactory, i own an american fender strat deluxe and this thing is easily worth the price difference. I also own a 71' gibson les paul, NOT reissue, the real thing, and this still trumps it when it comes to what i need for versatility. The mid boost smoothes everything out and makes chords huge. This is a recording WEAPON. Sounds amazing through a vox, hell, sounds amazing through my ampeg svt classic bass amp! As for the price, I've played 5000 gibbons that are TERRIBLE quality, every custom shop fender I've ever played, plays GREAT. This is worth every penny! I'm merely 20 and I can tell how perfect this is! Every pickup sounds vastly different, this is every tone you could ever want in a guitar. ITs perfect for especially just having one guitar on stage. This is my

  • Best Strat that I have

As reviewed by ROBERT ABOUD on 2/8/2013

I have 6 Strats, 4 Les Pauls and on Tele. This guitar has become my every day player!! The looks are incredible. The finish is perfect. I was worried about the vintage frets being too narrow for lush bends. I was wrong!! The guitar plays like a dream. And tones?? Everything from glassy, chimey to Cream overdriven tones... and everything in between. The boost and TBX functions are amazing. I usually play 9s but have left the 10s on it. And will be switching all my guitars to 10s. I like it so much I will be buying another one in a different color. Even down to the case candy, the guitar is PERFECT! If you can afford it, this is the Custom Shop model to get.

  • Fantastic Guitar

As reviewed by Jon-Nolan Paresa on 12/26/2012

I purchased this guitar at the CG in Sacramento. The salesman Jose Blanco, ordered it for me. He and I have worked together getting me the right instrument whether it was an amp or other guitar. He took steps to contact his contemporaries at other CG's. When it arrived and before I picked it up, he the strings changed and action set up to my preferences. It is an amazing guitar. I love the V neck and how fast the action it. The sound is great. It took a while to get use to the TBX Tone Control. But I really like the way the guitar handles and sounds.
