Product Information

A Custom Shop re-creation of the vintage '59.

Meticulously built to replicate the original '59 P Bass in every detail. 1959 was a transitional year for the P Bass. Rosewood fretboards replaced the one-piece maple neck for the first time, and the neck features the precise C-shaped profile from that year. This model also has the ash body that was used for the vintage blonde finish models of that year. One especially showy feature in '59 was the gold anodized pickguard and it is used on this replica. As a Time Machine Relic, it has been specially treated to show the cosmetic effects of wear and aging that would naturally be found on a well-used '59 bass. Comes with a tweed hardshell case, vintage strap, and polishing cloth.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

1974 P bass for $333.99

I brought the music store some of or all of my part-time job pay every week and now, 35 year later, it enjoys staying under my bed. HellO? EVERY PLAYER removes the tailpiece and pickup covers. Just hardwarre to keep, like I did. I did install DiMarzio P and J Basss pickups in 1979 or 80. Needed more growl. Always plays great.

Eh...

It's alrite, It's still a Fender and all. But just looking at this thing I can tell the 2,000 dollars is not worth it. Though this a re-creation of the 1959 model, there are better stuff out there today. Changing strings won't be easy with that hand guard or w.e u wanna call it at the tail piece. I mean if your into spending a lot of cash to show this baby off, than just mount 'er or something, this bass is more of a collectors dream than a player's choice axe.
