An NOS version of the advanced and much-loved solidbody.
The Fender Custom Shop 1962 Jaguar with Painted Head-Cap Electric Guitar will thrill any Jaguar fan. It gets the Custom Shop "New Old Stock" treatment with total respect paid to re-creating an exact replica of the orignal. The result is a guitar that looks like it just came out of a secret vault in Fender's warehouse.
The Jaguar was first introduced in 1962 and features innovative circuitry, a unique tremolo system and a short scale length of 24", ideal for players with smaller hands. This top-of-the-line-at-the-time guitar became popular with surf guitarists who found that they could put on heavier gauge strings to achieve a deeper sound and still play comfortably thanks to the neck's shorter scale. The Jaguar reimerged in the '80s and '90s and continues today to be a highly desirable classic.
