Something a little different.

The Custom shop 69 pickups offer some variety compared to stock pickups. I put a set in my Mexican Strat and like them very well. The neck pickup is bluesy and has a thumping bass tone. They are not as jangly as stock pickups, but you can still identify the Strat tone. I have had mine for 3 years and have had no problems. I do think that now they are somewhat overpriced, but several other Fender pickups are also overpriced in my opinion. Try a set if you want something a little different, but keep in mind that no set of pickups will provide every desired tone.
