A classic with its sleekly contoured two-horned body, triple-pickup layout and "soft V" shaped neck.

During rock music's infancy in 1950s, Fender introduced a revolutionary new guitar-the Stratocaster. With its sleekly contoured two-horned body, triple-pickup layout and innovative tremolo bridge, it redefined the possibilities for guitarists everywhere and set the stage for unimagined musical heights to come.

The Classic Series '50s Stratocaster Lacquer epitomized the instrument in the era of its origin, with an authentic nitrocellulose lacquer finish on its alder body. Other features include a "soft V"-shaped tinted maple neck, 7.25"-radius maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets and black-dot inlays, three vintage-style single-coil pickups with staggered alnico pole pieces and five-way switching, single-ply white pickguard, aged control knobs and switch tip, vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge and vintage-style tuners. Tweed case included.

  • Excellent Guitar for the price.

As reviewed by Geoffrey Davis on 3/13/2014

Worked with the management at the Va Beach location and bought this online through the store during the President's Day sale. Got a great deal on an excellent, retro Stratocaster. Comes with a case and doesn't have a silly-looking pre-worn look like the road-worn series does, it has a beautiful lacquer finish you can wear out yourself. I'm loving the sound these single-coil pickups give me through my Behringer Blue Devil,it sound spectacular and I'm getting the sound I want, so not having the Tex-Mex pickups really doesn't seem to matter at all. The thinner neck is great, but not too thin like the Mosrite I learned on, and string-bending with my average-sized hands has not been difficult at all. My initial impression after playing is that I definitely recommend this guitar for anyone who wants a decent 'retro' Strat with a case at a budget price. It plays great out-of-the-box. If that changes in time, I will submit a revised review.
