A modern take on a classic.

The Fender Classic Player Jaguar Special is an electric guitar that updates Fender's iconic Jaguar guitar with some thoroughly modern improvements: hotter pickups, a redesigned Adjusto-Matic bridge with floating tremolo tailpiece, a 9-1/2" fingerboard radius and a redesigned neck pocket with increased back-angle for improved stability and sustain. The Jaguar guitar's tremolo plate has been moved closer to the bridge to increase break angle and sustain. The Fender Classic Player Jaguar Special guitar has a screw-in tremolo arm that increases stability and control when executing dive-bombs.

  • Amazing

As reviewed by Will on 11/23/2010

i've had this guitar since may 2010 when it replaced my epiphone les paul standard. i've played it practically every single day, and have fallen helplessly in love with this instrument. this guitar has already seen more action than my old one, which i had for 3 years. i've recorded an EP with this guitar, and although i have yet to be on stage with it, i wouldn't think of holding any other instrument. the looks are too kill for. it is just a sexy thing to behold. it sounded amazing, right out of the box. the strings weren't too bad, and i had them on for a few weeks before i changed them. the pickups were a little sharp sounding at first, but mellowed since, and now sound gorgeous. the tuners are great, vintage looking, and rarely lose tune. it also feels great in hand. smooth neck and lightweight too. i mainly play indie pop and alternative stuff on it, but i always venture outside of that. i can't resist playing breakdowns every time i play, and although it wasn't meant for it, it can hold its own on (respectively) metal stuff. i would've never PLAY metal with it, but i do. seriously though, it's a wonderful guitar all around. definitley worth every single penny.

  • Great Guitar

As reviewed by Art Rice on 11/6/2011

Bought this is September'10. Unlike some other reviews, mine was set up perfect, flawless finish. This does stay in tune if you lock the trem. otherwise, it does need occasional adjusting. Great action. All in all, this is a great guitar. Is is as good as the '62? No, but for the price, you won't find any better.

  • Love it!

As reviewed by Lauren on 7/30/2008

This guitar is beautiful to look at and easy to play. I love the twangy pickups, it is perfect for the style of music I play. I would definitely recommend this guitar to anyone who plays grunge and punk music.
