The Blacktop Jaguar HH delivers monster dual-bucker tone without breaking the bank. Vintage-style Fender Blacktop alnico humbucking pickups deliver the hot high-gain power of today's most aggressive sounds; other distinctive touches include skirted black amp knobs, Adjusto-Matic bridge with anchored tailpiece, slinky 24" scale, and one lean and mean three-way toggle switch rather than the customary barrage of Jaguar controls. Features include an alder body, maple neck, 9.5"-radius rosewood fretboard, 22 medium-jumbo frets, gloss urethane finish, and nickel/chrome hardware.

Fender Blacktop Jaguar HH Electric Guitar
Specifications:
this is a really awesome guitar! i waited for what seemed like ages to try this out because they sell so fast. i went to my local guitar center and i almost didn't buy it because when i plugged into my kind of amp the guitar sounded really muddy. then i plugged into another amp just to see if there was a problem with that one and it still sounded muddy. an employee plugged it into a third one and it turns out there was just a problem with both of those amps. i took it home and it sounds, looks, and feels great. the bridge makes it really easy to palm mute, and the pickup selector makes the guitar a lot simpler than those little switches that no one knows are for. the only thing that i would really improve about this guitar is the lack of a sunburst or white finish. otherwise, the dual humbuckers provide everything from great clean to thrash metal. go out and buy this guitar.
This is a very special guitar. It has a shorter scale (24") than Strats, Teles, Les Paul's and SGs and most other electric solid bodys. This means that there is less tension on the strings and that translates into increased speed, better string vibrato and easier hammering for those speedy riffs. You will be amazed at how much faster you will play when you are not fighting against regular string tension. Just play one and you will feel the difference. It will surprise you!
The guitar itself is about an inch longer than a Strat - this is not a 3/4 size guitar - the short scale is achieved by moving the bridge about an inch closer to the neck.
The two overwound humbuckers are great for sustain, and kick ass with distortion . If you are a Fender fan and were considering a Les Paul - try this first. To me, the quality is far above the Les Paul Studio Faded versions I have played.
I bought the black color, and the silver pick up covers with chrome shiny hardware on the black guitar - look great.
I own a 1975 American Stratocaster (original Owner) and I do not find any difference in the quality of the Jaguar (Made in Mexico) and my Strat (Made in the USA).
On my wish list: I would have liked a Maple fingerboard.
There is a trade off - the short scale means that the frets are closer together when you get to the extreme high notes on the neck, however, since I do 95% of my playing in the bottom 16 frets, I will opt for the Jaguar's increased speed over the spacious high notes.
I am very happy with this guitar - it makes me smile!
