My wife wanted to learn bass so she could play with me and my friends. She choose the 62 with a tri burst and she couldn't be happiier. I own several high end guitars from martin to gibson and this bass is the nicest guitar I've ever bought. Straight out of the box the intonation was perfect, the neck is straight, the fit and finish is absolutely perfect. Tone wise this bass has what a bass should have and is what is heard on countless recordings from motown to good old rock and roll. I got her a Acoustic B100 amp to go along with it and the combination of the two is perfect. If you have the bucks dont hesitate to buy this bass you cant go wrong. What a beautifull slab of wood this is. It will become an heirloom as time goes by. Thank you Fender for doing such a wonderfull job with this bass. Ten stars.

  • 1969 P Bass

As reviewed by D. Florine on 12/22/2006

I have a '69 P Bass that I bought new over 36 years ago. I have used it over the years full and part time over and over. It has been knocked off stage, turned over and had numerious liquids spilled on it. Over the years I've owned several other basses but never found one as comfortable as this one. Simply put, it's like an old friend and it would not be possible to assign a dollar amount to it.

  • Perfect Classic Rock Bass!

As reviewed by DMN on 3/19/2007

First off, I love this bass! I was in a Guitar Center the other day and was looking at basses. I tried several presicions, jazz, and warwicks. THIS WAS THE BEST (besides the Warwicks, obiviously)! It had great tone and through the Ampeqs was just a solid rocker. Its neck is nice, and it is very solid. The styling with covers is awsome aswell. Between this, a standard P-bass, and a Highway One P-bass, this was best over all! IF YOU WANT A PRESICION, GET A 62!
