Now's the time, the time is now!
This is the new 2008 model, and it's the best telecaster I've ever played...ever. Everything about it was perfect, and it's the shiniest telecaster on the planet (in a good way). Sound's like every awesome telecaster sound I've ever heard, if you know how to tweak the knobs. Chicken pickin' sounds amazing on it, and strumming full open chords sounds beautiful, while the power chords are nice and tight. And the sustain...Fender will be rivaling Gibson's Les Paul soon if the sustain gets even the tiniest bit better-hit a note, go to the bathroom and come back, and the thing is still ringing! There were NO faults at all with this guitar, it had the epitome of Fender quality craftsmanship in it. If you've been waiting to get a telecaster, (or just barely missed the 60th anniversary model, like me) now is the time to scrounge up the money and get into guitar center!

Buy American
The Fender American Standard Telecaster is a quality musical instrument. This Tele is easy to play and sounds, well..like a Tele. I've played every model, copy and clone of the Tele but none measure up to the American Standard. Glad I waited on Fender to upgrade this model. They have done an excellent job!

The Time To Get an American Tele!
Before I played this guitar, I didn't even think twice about getting a telecaster, I didn't like the tone or playability of the highway one telecaster, and the others were too expensive. When I picked it up, I was amazed at the playability and tone, the new bridge is a lot better than the the old three saddle one (to me, some of you say otherwise). The finish (three tone SB) is extremely shiney and I can't stop glancing at it and the maple neck is fast and buttery.

The Perfect Jimi Hendrix sound
I'm going through a phase right now of Jimi Hendrix music. It's good, and I thought that a Strat would give me that sound. I was wrong, this telecaster delivers. It sounded exactly like Jimi at the store. Not to mention that the bridge pickup is also hot. This is great for any and all blues.

Always a classic, still the standard
I've owned no less than 5 Teles (and an equal number of Strats and Les Pauls) and they are still my go-to guitar for nearly any scenario. They are just so consistantly built that you can grab on off of the wall at any G.C. and go gig that night with it. Sound wise, plenty of punch but very little grit. I've been known to drop a Little '59 by Seymour Duncan into them for some thicker, humbucking tones. Looks wise, I love the simple style. Classic yet not boring. the best part of all, these babies are tough. You can hammer nails with one and then go gig. I've been known to be VERY rough on my guitars (throwing them, dropping them, pouring beer on them) and they just don't break. Not happy to see the price climb so much on them lately but still a safe purchase.

Fender American Standard Telecaster (2009)
I never did like fenders. i played a les paul copy with very fat and warm humbuckers. But, i am a sucker for a guitar with a natural finish so i thought i might as well try out the natural telecaster hanging on the wall at a local music store. my perception on fenders instantly changed. i bought the fender a week later.
this guitar will not disapoint. when i picked it up, it felt like it was built like a tank. the sustain is crazy, and the sound is incerdible. my favorite part is the neck, its the most comforale neck i have ever played and the satin finish is very smooth. ive played everything from jazz to metal (yes, the tele plays metal) and it rivals every guitar ive played.
it also comes with a skb case witch is very nice and a strap, cable, cloth and a trillion different allen keys. all you need now is an amp to blast it through!

Great American Telecaster.
I've never really liked telecasters until I got this one as a birthday gift. This tele plays great. The finish on the neck is a big upgrade from the old American Series necks; its not sticky and it actually feels like a guitar neck, not a banana skin. The Alnico V pickup magnets have a nice twang and vintage tone and are good for country, blues and rock. The accessories(case, strap, cable, polishing cloth) are great and been very useful in the short time I have owned this guitar. I will not trade this guitar for anything and I highly recommend you purchase this guitar as soon as possible.
Please read my reviews for the '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue and the American Standard Stratocaster.

Great guitar!
Great guitar! I think this is one of the best guitars out there that doesn't cost ALOT of money. I just waited until a big sale came, and than I got it. Anyway, it's a great guitar, over the time I've had this guitar which has been a while, I've only had to repair one string! I hope you enjoy this classic guitar as much as I do.
