I have a MIM Ash tele with a natural finish. It came with a tortoise shell guard which I didn't care for much. I have never worked on a guitar before and the change was fairly easy, although there are no instructions. The only thing to watch out for is that the neck pickup is only held in by the pick guard and is a little difficult to put back but, if I can do it, so can you. My guitar looks great; I am glad I made the change
This pickguard does what it's supposed to. It looks great on my black Mexican made Tele, it's good quality, and was very easy to install. The price may seem a bit expensive for a pickguard, but hey -- you get what you pay for. If you're lookin' for a black Tele pickguard, look no further.
My 3 year old sunburst colored Telecaster (originally with a white pickguard) was completely transformed with this black one. It was easy to install and looks fantastic.
