SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) pickups dish out vintage Strat sounds without the hum, while a hot bridge pickup provides extra punch and sustain. S-1 Switching delivers an extended range of tonal flavors. The classically contoured Stratocaster alder body fits like a glove.
Other features include polished chrome hardware, locking machine heads, American Deluxe tremolo with polished steel saddles, highly detailed fret and nut work, abalone dot inlays, and aged plastic parts. Includes molded Fender Stratocaster hardshell case.
Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups It's no secret that pickup designers have been striving to develop the ultimate noise-free single-coil replacement pickup. In pursuit of as little 60-cycle hum and extraneous noise as possible and the classic bell-like tones and fidelity of the original Fender designs, Fender has poured their energy into discovering a new world-class pickup for the ages. With open minds and a willingness to seemingly question everything, Fender partnered with legendary pickup designer Bill Lawrence. The pickup that was birthed from this extraordinary partnership is the Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickup. It has no hum, no microphonics, close to zero magnetic interruption of the string path; and the widest sonic parameters possible-from Fender classic single coils to tones not yet imagined. Truly a revolutionary design in guitar pickups.

Fender American Deluxe Strat
Bought this axe as a blem model for a decent discount. The only blemish I could find was a hyperextended S-1 swith. After a few minutes of playing with it, it popped back down into place and works perfectly.
Everything about this guitar is exceptional; sound, looks, quality, etc. It was set up perfectly from the factory and sounds wonderful. It is so easy to play that I hardly ever touch my other two guitars. Stays in tune longer than any other guitar I have owned as well.
Highly recommend this guitar to anyone. It is a little pricey, but I feel it is an heirloom that I will pass down to my boys one day.

This is a great Guitar
This is the first Fender that I have owned, and I am hooked. I have always been a PRS guy and they are great but this guitar gives you that blues and old rock sound that the PRS and Gibson's can't. I did buy the Standard American Fender about 3 days before I got this one and did not like the feedback from the pickups so I upgraded to the Delux and it is great. I have a good friend that purchased the SRV Strat and I think this Delux sounds and plays better. But that is just miy opinion.

Hold on to This One
I bought one of these babies six or seven years ago, but had to sell it to pay my rent this Summer. I swear to God I almost cried. It was the most beautiful guitar I ever owned, both visually and in sound. The only problem that I ever had with it was that I had to have some of the hardware resoldered after four years or so, but that was probably my fault anyway. I will say that whoever complained about the plating on the tuning keys coming off is right. Mine wasn't too bad, but it tarnishes easily if you don't take care of it. As soon as I am no longer broke, I plan to buy another Am. Delux Strat immediately and keeping it until I'm an old, old man.

The Best
As a player for over 40 years I have had them all. I've owned top of the line Les Pauls, Paul Reed Smiths and every cheap guitar there is....Nothing and I mean Nothing compares to the tone, playability and craftsmanship of the Deluxe Strat.....The SCN pickups and S-1 switching are incomparable. I own the 50th Anniversary American Deluxe, issued in 2004 and the oohs and aahhs coming from the crowd when I pull her out says it all......Then they hear her and a sweeter sound has never previously existed!!!

Amazing Rock Guitar and beyond...
Whatever your tastes or tone preference, the All-American Deluxe Strat has it all. I bought this guitar because I wanted something different other than my Gibsons. Since I bought this last year I haven't put it down. I play rhythm and some lead in a rock band and I also play for my church. Once you tweak the bridge and the action the way you want, its really easy, it becomes your custom made axe.
The features are awesome on this thing. 5-way switch with the boost button gives you so many tone options. The button really works well with solos, it lets you stand in front of the band. The noiseless pickups are truly noiseless and did I mention this thing never goes out of tune!
The only downer is... I can think of any. The truth is for the money I can't see anything really beating it other than my factory freak SG Standard. It is neck and neck, again apples to oranges, Fender and Gibson are totally different, but yes you do need both if you wanna rock and roll #O
