NEW REVIEW - An amazing guitar!
I've been playing guitar for over 26 years. I've played lots of guitars, many very good, but somehow I never found the perfect guitar. **Until Today!** The American Deluxe Strat is, truly, a great guitar. It stays in tune, it plays easy, and sounds amazing. Yes, they are a little spendy, but please believe me: it is money well spent. This is a real electric guitar, a guitar that you can be proud of and play with confidence. If you're serious about playing the electric guitar, get one of these. Don't wait 26 years like I did!

Fender American Deluxe Strat
Bought this axe as a blem model for a decent discount. The only blemish I could find was a hyperextended S-1 swith. After a few minutes of playing with it, it popped back down into place and works perfectly.
Everything about this guitar is exceptional; sound, looks, quality, etc. It was set up perfectly from the factory and sounds wonderful. It is so easy to play that I hardly ever touch my other two guitars. Stays in tune longer than any other guitar I have owned as well.
Highly recommend this guitar to anyone. It is a little pricey, but I feel it is an heirloom that I will pass down to my boys one day.

This is a great Guitar
This is the first Fender that I have owned, and I am hooked. I have always been a PRS guy and they are great but this guitar gives you that blues and old rock sound that the PRS and Gibson's can't. I did buy the Standard American Fender about 3 days before I got this one and did not like the feedback from the pickups so I upgraded to the Delux and it is great. I have a good friend that purchased the SRV Strat and I think this Delux sounds and plays better. But that is just miy opinion.

Hold on to This One
I bought one of these babies six or seven years ago, but had to sell it to pay my rent this Summer. I swear to God I almost cried. It was the most beautiful guitar I ever owned, both visually and in sound. The only problem that I ever had with it was that I had to have some of the hardware resoldered after four years or so, but that was probably my fault anyway. I will say that whoever complained about the plating on the tuning keys coming off is right. Mine wasn't too bad, but it tarnishes easily if you don't take care of it. As soon as I am no longer broke, I plan to buy another Am. Delux Strat immediately and keeping it until I'm an old, old man.

The Best
As a player for over 40 years I have had them all. I've owned top of the line Les Pauls, Paul Reed Smiths and every cheap guitar there is....Nothing and I mean Nothing compares to the tone, playability and craftsmanship of the Deluxe Strat.....The SCN pickups and S-1 switching are incomparable. I own the 50th Anniversary American Deluxe, issued in 2004 and the oohs and aahhs coming from the crowd when I pull her out says it all......Then they hear her and a sweeter sound has never previously existed!!!

The Deluxe is The Standard
A Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster was my first really pro-level guitar. I've always been a Strat Cat but until I bought a Deluxe I had to make do with import knock offs. The American Deluxe forever spoiled me from purchasing any more "budget" guitars. One feel of the spectacular maple neck with its hand-rolled edges was all it took. I didn't even have to plug it in. But I sure am glad I eventually did. The SCN pickups really are hum free. And the S-1 switching adds an enormous amount of useful variety to the famous Fender signature sound. The fit and finish are flawless. As an added bonus, the hardshell case was full of useful goodies including a nice leather strap, strap locks, a polishing cloth and more. The Fender American Deluxe series is the standard by which all other quality guitars should aspire.

The Greatest Guitar Ever Made
This guitar rocks. I also own a standard mexican strat, but it doesn't compare to the feel and tone of the american deluxe. I play lead guitar in a metal band and i always thought that Ibanez was the only brand of guitar I could use. That is definitely not the case. The deluxe strat can pour out creamy, warm clean tones, but it can also scream wicked distorted tones. I play Yngwie Malmsteen's songs and this guitar is the closest thing other than Yngwie's own guitar that can capture an amazing sound like his. I run it through a line 6 spider III amp for practice, and a Marshall JCM2000 Head during gigs, and it sounds AMAZING on either. I recommend this axe to any guitarist, no matter your genre of music.

American Deluxe Strat rocks
I bought the Olympic Pearl American Deluxe Strat, alder body, rosewood fingerboard. Bought it through a local Guitar Center which saved me several hundred dollars from the online list price. It is absolutely beautiful. I have not touched the factory set-up, and the intonation is perfect. Love the S-1 switching and tone control for the bridge pick-up. I am not an aggressive tremolo user, but only gripe may be lack of the roller nut on the "non-fat" Deluxe Strat. Would definitely recommend this guitar. Great versatility.

Wow
I,ve played quitars for fifty years plus in Germany,France,England and the U.S. for the Militaries Special Services called USO. I have tried out over thirty different makes of guitars. I can tell you this guitar is one of the greatest and Special, I have ever played. I put the other 12 guitars I used to play in storage including older Stratacaster and a couple of Les Pauls. This guitar is it for me. I,ve got a Rock Concert and I can't wait. This guitar makes me for feel like I am 18 again,I wish. Every time I get near it I've got to pick it up and start playing. Its really boosted my enthusiasm. My main instruments are Tenor and Alto Sax and Hammond organ, but now I am thinking about changing to the Guitar.

The ABSOLUTE Best
I bought this guitar about 3 months ago. Ive been playing for 4 years with an ibanez. But when i got this Fender, my ibanez was a thing of the past!! It offers great sound for any type of music. I scalloped my neck like Malmsteen and added Tex-Mex pickups. I'll give it a 10 out of 5!!
