A righteous version of the classic original!
The Telecaster is an undeniable force in all styles of guitar-based American music and the Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Electric Guitar is the top of the Tele chain! It offers stunningly accurate noiseless vintage sounds through 2 SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) pickups, as well as new variations through the versatile S-1 switching system. Its highly detailed fret and nut work make it incredibly easy to play. Other features include a bound-top alder body with a comfortably contoured back, abalone dot inlays, and aged plastic parts. Includes Fender hardshell case.
Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups
It's no secret that pickup designers have been striving to develop the ultimate noise-free single-coil replacement pickup. In pursuit of as little 60-cycle hum and extraneous noise as possible and the classic bell-like tones and fidelity of the original Fender designs, Fender has poured their energy into discovering a new world-class pickup for the ages. With open minds and a willingness to seemingly question everything, Fender partnered with legendary pickup designer Bill Lawrence. The pickup that was birthed from this extraordinary partnership is the Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickup. It has no hum, no microphonics, close to zero magnetic interruption of the string path, and the widest sonic parameters possible - from Fender classic single coils to tones not yet imagined. Truly a revolutionary design in guitar pickups.

Timeless Guitar!
I just picked up this American Deluxe in the sunburst. The abalone inlays, the binding, s-1 switching, tuners, everything on this guitar blows my mind. I have to tune it ONCE, before a jam, and thats a country-jam mind you, meaning im bending those strings every song. Anyways the tone is incredible, i play through a VOX AC-15 and it rocks. It has a bite on the high-end but all teles do, i just roll off the high on my eq.
Now, the volume knobs are also great, you can roll off and not worry about messing up your tone, which is really helpful for effective dynamics throughout your song.
Overall, this is the greatest investment i've ever made. And its a guitar i know i wont give up, its timeless. Fender makes some great products, you just have to find the right ones, the ones that will last... the American Deluxe Tele has changed my life musically!! Honestly my technique and confidence as a musician have grown simply because of the amazing playability of this guitar!!

Why look elsewhere?
A remarkable instrument by any standard, the Fender American Deluxe Series Telecaster is a versatile, extremely well-made, and terrific sounding guitar. I own (and regularly play) a wide variety of guitars (Gibson, Hofner, Gretsch, PRS, Guild, Hamer, and a few you have probably never heard of), but this Tele has become my "go-to" guitar, especially when I'm laying down demo tracks, writing new songs, or just noodling around. The build is by far the best I've seen on a Fender for quite a while: the fret work is excellent, the finish is extremely good, and the factory set-up was, well, impeccable. Kudos to Fender and Bill Lawrence for their Samarium Cobalt pick-ups, which truly are free of that annoying 60-cycle hum. I suspect that Fender has upgraded the original SC pickups, since those on my guitar produce a wider range of tones and textures than I expected - and have a lot of punch. With the right amp (and, of course, the right effects) there isn't too much you can't do with this guitar. If you think that Teles are for Country players only, think again. At the very least, go to your local music store and try one. I think you'll be pleased that you did; and, who knows, you might become a dedicated "Tele-head". Highly recommended.

Doesn't Get Much Better Than This
Wow. Sweet guitar, puts out a great tone through a fender, vox, marshall- u name it, this guitar just sounds great. plays extremely smooth. I would like to price to come down a little...I have the Aged Cherry Sunburst, with ROSEWOOD fretboard...and let me tell you, if you saw a picture of this guitar, you would be sold, it looks amazing. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.

Best Telecaster Made to date!
I personally own this guitar in Aged Cherry Burst with a maple neck. I found the construction of the guitar to be perfect, like a custom shop. Smooth neck, flawless paint job, and the hardware is excellent. This is the 2006 model which has the 60th anniversary emblem on the back of the headstock. The SCN pickups sounds clean and quiet, but what makes this guitar is the ability of the S-1 Swithing giving you more options and sounds....This guitar also comes with a hardcase and case candy including the strap lock already installed. Definetely a collectors item..The only thing that wasn't perfect about this guitar is the set up...I had to take it to a tech to have the intonation and action set...but that's a given with any guitar...Definetely going to be a collectors item...This is a must buy if your going to be spending $800 on a guitar spend the extra $3-400 and get this one...you won't be disappointed.

A Very Nice Guitar
This guitar is one of the smoothest guitars i have ever played. It sounds reallly silky and the S1 makes it a very versatile guitar. The downside is the price; however it is one of the nicest tele's and a real gem.
