Vintage vibe with modern bling

This guitar has great tone, subtle with the hard ash body, great fretwork, stainless bridge and saddles, hard rock one piece maple neck. It is one of my favorite and most played guitars. Beautiful finish. 50s fat neck is my style. SCN noiseless pickups do their job well, but its not quite as bright as vintage Tele pickups, depending on your usage you might prefer those. Tone is plenty bright enough for my needs, and extremely well balanced. Suggest you play it and decide. This is a very versatile guitar with great tonal balance suitable for rock, country. Not suitable for high gain stuff but that's no surprise - this is not a shred guitar. Play it clean and show off your chops. Extra care and quality in the fretwork and finish in this model produces a flawless guitar. Built like a tank. It is however noticibly heavy due to the thick solid ash (not light swamp ash) body.

Improving a classic

I own two very nice Stratocasters (61, 95 custom shop) but I've always eyed telecasters. When I heard that American Deluxe series came with Samarian Cobalt pickups and series switching I tried one out. I played it through a reissue Ampeg Jet that I use for practicing and I was sold. I really love the fater neck on the Ash Telecaster and the satin finish. While the series switch (the S-1 switch puts the two pickups in series when in the middle switch position) adds a nice mid-range boast the normal switching sounds great. While the country guys and gals will love the guitar I consider it be a true rock and and roll machine. You really can't go wrong with this guitar.

A True Classic with updates

My first real guitar was an early 60's Fender and how I wish I hadn't been talked into selling it, though I thought I'd done pretty well selling it at a profit after just a few years, oh well, live and learn. However, I finally replaced it with 1 of the new Fender American Ash Tele's and it really brings back the memory of that old Pre-CBS Tele (same exact color, I mean identicle) and with the modern S-1 switching and Samarium Cobalt noiseless pick-ups it probably is better suited for the studio than my old one was. Fender's are true classic's for a reason, they sound great, in fact they are the sound of Rock N Roll (and quite a bit of country) and you will still find they offer the real deal. I think because of Leo Fender's ingenuity in production, the quality of the orginals is still there in their American series guitars (and basses). I just can't figure out how they keep their prices as good as they are for what they are, I guess it's the power of numbers, keep the numbers good and support Fender, buy one, you'll be glad you did and, honestly, don't sell it, they're definet keepers.

Sweet Axe`-and some clarity

First off...I just purchased a new LP in the spring, wasn't planning on dropping another 1300 clams this soon. What can say? Obviously not no. This is an awesome guitar, sounds amazing, very clean-cut with a great set-up. I'm not a fan of the 3 saddle bridges, say what you will about vintage whatnot, but the 6 saddles are an improvement. On that note...this is not a stainless bridge. If you read the specs, it has a chrome plated brass brigde and chrome plated brass saddles....which is desireable for optimum resonance. If you are looking for a guitar with exceptional workmanshipe and great features for blues rock and maybe some jazz...this is what you want. Metal-heads....this is not the axe for you. The noiseless pickups are great for sime grimey grissle, but this thing won't be shredding up the stage...it is a phenominal blues/rock machine though...buy it....butterscotch-blonde and black ...yay!

Great Guitar w/ vintage feel

Great guitar all around. It is kind of heavy, but other than that it has a great feel to it. I've played most of my life, and tour regularly, and this guitar has become a key point of our show. Sounds especially great through an AC30
