Silky sound and effects you can really use!

An upgraded version of Fender's best-selling Acoustasonic 30, its 30W amp drives an 8" LF driver plus tweeter. Lightweight and portable, it's an ideal choice for handling acoustic-electric instruments and vocals. The mic and instrument channels have independent EQs. A phase switch controls feedback while the String Dynamics control reins in harsh treble on the instrument channel. The mic channel has phantom power. The line out lets you go direct to a mixer. DSP effects include reverb, delay, chorus, and more. An optional footswitch controls effects switching on both channels.

I'll pass

I bought the Acoustasonic along with a Martin 000C-16RGTE AURA. I "thought" the Fender was a good choice. When I got home with it, I thought my AURA was why the sound coming out was so dead and brittle. I fooled with the EQ on both the guitar and amp with no luck. I was dumbfounded. I'm no pro, but I know what sounds good and doesn't, and the Fender just doesnt do the Martin ANY justice. So I took it back to GC and swapped it for the Marshall AS50R. Lets see...NIGHT AND DAY! Within 2 minutes, the Marshall was dead-on reproducing the sound of my Martin at every volume level, somthing the Fender couldn't do. Yeah, the Fender had some cool digi. effects, but thats only a selling point. Honestly, the Fender was a huge dissapointment. Plug into each and hear for yourself.

Good little amp

I bought this amp about a year ago. I record with it and also use it at church. I play a Seagull Artist through it. It took a while for me to get the sound where I wanted it, but after some tweaking, it sounds great. It is not a very loud amp. It is okay for small solo gigs, but if you play in a band, you will have to mike it or use the external speaker jack to the PA or a cabinet to be heard. I've had fun with the DSP effects. My favorite on this is the delay. If you want a really loud amp, you'll have to go with something more powerful than 30 watts, but for small gigs or recording, it works well.

Not For Me

I went to GC and i played the amp for a while and it sounded pretty descent. I was told the amp is very loud for a 30 watt and is gig compatible......WRONG. First off my 15 watt marshall is louder than this, and the amp kept making an explosion type noise when you use both channels. For a practice amp it is descent but i do not suggest it if you are in a band that plays alot of acoustic. Its a good thing i got my money back.

heyhey

i like the amp with my martin DCX1E. PLug and play it sounds incredible. My neighbors, knock on my door complaining about the music coming from my apartment. Its just me playing. I've only had it a couple weeks, and the effects along with different playing styles allow you to make incrediblly strange sounds from and accoustic electric, its interesting and worth every penny
