  • Princeton Amp Review

As reviewed by Ralph on 2/23/2011

I bought this amp used at G.C., but the night before I made my mind up I went on the internet and read reviews on this amp. People were complaining about the speaker and tubes saying they had to be changed for a better sound. I went to G.C. the next day, I told the salesman what I had read, he cranked this amp up for me for an hour, he played all kind of different music on the amp. Then we let it sit for awhile the amp was quiet, then I played, I got to tell you this is a sweet sounding amp, I would not change a thing on it, Fender got it right with this amp. I had a twin and got rid of it because of the weight, the sound that comes out of the Princeton sounds like a small Twin, it is great. I play rock and blues, I put the Princeton beside my Blues Jr. NOS and I will probably sell the Blues Jr. I love the bass and loudness from the Princeton and also the clearness and spank of the notes. I will keep this amp. Bottom line I'm sure glad I didn't listen to the negative comments that were on line, this is a great amp and if something happened to it, I would definatley look for another Princeton.

  • Awesome Sound From Small Amp

As reviewed by Marcelino Cantu on 6/5/2009

I have an original Fender Princeton Reverb Amp made in the 70's and it sounds fantastic... it sounds really good on clean, but it also sounds good for metal. Ive played a few small gigs with it, and once played a big gig this is loud! Totally recommend it for beginner or Expert guitar players.
