I bought this amp for a monitor but after playing my strat & 335 I couldn't believe the sound.I pluged my pedal steel in it and was very impressed. It sounds better than my 212R & my deluxe. I use it all the time on stage and i mic it. But change out the speaker , it's crap . I put an Eminence Red Coat 10" and this amp came alive. You can't beat this amp for the price I'll guarante it!

  • Perfect Amp For Beginners!!!

As reviewed by ninescd11 on 3/6/2011

I played acoustic guitar for several months before I decided to switch over to electric. I bought this amp because of the cheap price compared to most other amps. I strongly recommend this amp for beginning guitarists! It sounds great and it is easy to use! Its also quite loud considering its size! This amp is definetly a great deal for beginners!!!

  • Better than I expected

As reviewed by Doc Pepper on 3/19/2011

I bought mine about six months ago, along with a G&L Comanche Tribute and a Digitech RP 255 effects unit. The amp works well with the effects unit, and acceptably with the guitar on its own. The problem is that I have a desire for a "better" amp. I start monkeying with the controls on the effects box, or I switch a setting on the guitar, and I find what I'm looking for without a lot of hassle. Then the feeling for a new acquisition goes away. I am considering changing the speaker to a Ragin Cajun, but I'm in no hurry. This is a good amp for practice. It can get a little loud for apartment use, but that's what the headphone jack is for.
