I got this potentiometer and the 5 way selector switch for my american Strat, and it works perfectly. Sounds like the original.
Works well, can't hear scratching. Action is ok. The shaft is a bit too high though, leaves some gap with the knobs on top.
Took out my old potentiometer and installed this one. I had to modify the hole a little to get it to fit, but that's more because the model guitar I have was made in Japan and the parts for it are discontinued. I basically had to modify the guitar just a little to get everything to fit. I looked up wiring diagrams for my guitar and couldn't find one with my configuration, but having instructions along with the product would help, thankfully the instructions that came with the pickup I bought were sufficient enough. I haven't installed the capacitor in it yet, the original model didn't have one, but I understand this makes the sound more crisp, so after I get done having fun for a little while longer I'll throw that one in. Until then, I'll be enjoying this product just the way it is.
