Absolute Monster

This thing is built like a tank, which will be evident in the next few lines. The cabinet is covered in a very shiny (read slippery) tolex, with recessed handles and rear skid rails. I decided I would move the cab to my basement, on my own. I planned on lowering the cab down the stairs on its rear skids. However, as soon as I placed the cabinet on its back, it shot down the stairs like a tobaggon. It actually bounced, when it hit the floor. There was NO damage whatsoever to the cab. It is solid. The only improvement I could recommend would be to include more bracing points for the grill and front wall. Now for the tone: The low end on this thing is incredible. You can really feel the air move when you stand in front of it. It has a very good full-range sound, but excels in low end sounds. The horn even sounds good, although a bit noisey. I was very skeptical of the horn. I've played several basses through this cab with my Fender 300 Pro Head (tube amp), including a 70s RI jazz, jaguar, two fretless warwicks, a Thunderbird, and a '76 P bass. All the basses sounded great, but the P Bass just sounded incredible. This cab was designed for vintage P basses. If you dig that old, nasty P bass tone, this is the cabinet for you.
